These task cards are a great way to encourage students to work on understanding what is good or not good for their body. It will give students a visual opportunity to see - and read - the different scenarios and if they are good or not for our body. This is a great way for us to help our students understand how they can look after their body. This resource contains 12 different task cards giving students the choice of two options - yes or no - for if the item is good for our bodies or not. I.e ‘Is smoking good for your body?’. Each task card contains one clear image to go with the question. The task cards are in col and b/w option for your printing preference. I recommend cutting out each card individually and laminating so that they will be stronger and longer lasting. Students can complete with a dry wipe pen so that they can be used again. Or, work on fine motor skills at the same time and have your students use a clothing peg to choose their answer.

This visual communication fan is a great way for your students to communicate with you where they are in pain. Many of our students struggle to explain where they feel pain - or where is hurting. This visual, symbol supported fan is going to help aide with the communication barriers - and get your student the help that they need. There are a range of different body parts included on this fan, and you can put them together with a keyring and keep on you at all times. Visuals are very important to your autism and special education students. By having them portable, and on the go, it means that we can continue our communication outside of the classroom. Body parts included are; arm head (boy) head (girl) ear eye finger foot knee ankle leg lips nose shoulders stomach teeth thumb toe tongue hand wrist I highly recommend cutting out each of the individual fan pieces, laminating them then hole punching the bottom and attaching to a keyring so that they can be used to show students quickly and easily.

This adapted book is a great way for students to work on their sequencing skills but also to give them the knowledge and understanding of how to brush their teeth - a very important life skill which can be hard for many of our students to master. This adapted book goes through each of the steps required to brush teeth. Students have to read - or be read - the sentence on top of the page and then find the matching symbol that matches the sentence. This a great way to start having your students understand what they are reading/listening to and taking in the information. Students can then process this information and find the relevant symbol that fits with what is happening in the current situation. Comes in col and b/w option for your preference. This is great for a Spec Ed or Autism Classroom / working with Spec Ed or students with Autism. It’s a great way to encourage students to pay close attention to deal, become more familiar with sentence structure and symbols. The vocabulary is suitable for American or British classrooms. (Color, Colour etc.)

There are 6 items to match for each card. I recommend laminating each of the individual parts so that they will be stronger, longer lasting and re-usable. This resource is a great way for students to work on their sorting and categorising / categorizing skills. They are used with an Autism Classroom on a regular basis which have really helped to develop the children's understanding. As well as suiting an Autism Classroom, this resource would also benefit Spec Ed Classrooms and even Mainstream Classrooms.

This activity includes 10 different write the room flashcards. All images and vocabulary are linked to the theme of Dental Health. There is a recording sheet and answer key included for students to take part in this activity, they can then either self mark their answers - or you can with ease with the answer key provided. All flashcards are ready numbered. An answer key is provided on the bottom page of the recording sheet PDF file. Instructions are also included on first pages of each PDF document. This download includes two PDF documents - one for the flashcards and one for the recording sheets. I would highly recommend laminating each of the individual flashcards so that they will be stronger, therefore longer lasting. You can hide these flashcards anywhere you want to get the students active and moving about. Some example are: ♦ Around the classroom ♦ Outdoor play area ♦ In a tough tray ♦ In a sensory tub etc. This is a great way to keep students motivated and engaged while practising their vocabulary and spelling skills.

The 3 books are suitable for 3 different levels of learners, they are a great way to differentiate between learners individual abilities and work on learning about their five senses. You can see the different books in the preview option. Each book comes with instructions included on the first page on how you can put this book together to get the best possible use out of it. The vocabulary is suitable for American and British/Canadian etc classrooms. Eg - colour and color. These books are great to help students build up and work on their sentences. It encourages students to select the correct words(symbols) to match the picture they are looking at as well as being able to place them in the correct order to build an appropriate sentence. The book comes in two different difficulty levels to suit your individual students needs. Children have to read the instructions at the top of the page - or you read to them and then they have to select the correct clothing that the children want to wear and dress the children! This bingo pack is the perfect addition to your feelings and emotions activities. Students will love working on recognizing different feelings and being able to match these to their bingo board. There are 22 bingo boards included in this pack, which will allow you to have up to 22 players taking part at once with this activity. You can also use this with smaller group activities, or even at 1:1 work stations. What’s Included? 22 Bingo Boards Mini Image and Word Feelings Flashcards Mini Word Feelings Flashcards Feelings Image and Word Flashcards Bingo Cover Ups How to Use? Hand out the bingo boards to players. Provide players with a set of bingo cover ups or manipulatives. Use any of the 3 types of flashcards to call out the feelings. If students have the same feeling on their board, they cover it up. The first student to cover all their feelings on their board shouts ‘Bingo’ and they are the winner. Other Uses Although this is a bingo pack, the activities included can be used in a range of others ways too, such as; Discussion. Look at the flashcards. Think of a reason that the boy/girl may feel like that. Questions. Lay out some different flashcards. “If I bought you an ice cream, but then you dropped it on the floor, how do you think you would feel?” And the student points to or selects one of the feelings on the flashcards. Matching. A simple matching game. Match the flashcards to the images on the bingo boards. . This activity is a fun and engaging way to help students work on and understand different feelings and emotions. Instructions Print out the bingo boards, flashcards and bingo cover ups that you’ll be using. Print out a set of bingo cover ups for each child. Decide which flashcard you will use and then print. Laminate the bingo boards. Cut up and laminate the flashcards and bing cover ups then, laminate them.

We use these within our classroom every year and they work wonders with our students, so I am able to personally recommend you these resources and know that you will find them just as helpful in your classroom! This bundle includes; ♦ I Am Working For Board This reward system is a great way to keep students focused and engaged on their task, they'll have a visual to show what they are working for and also how much more they have to do to achieve it! ♦ Good Morning Greeting Book Have you ever found it so hard to get students ready in the mornings to start their work day? These Good Morning books are a great way to fix a morning routine to help ease your students into their day. ♦ Good Afternoon Greeting Book Afternoons can be so crazy busy, especially if your students have been outside running around! Settling back down to do work can be a really difficult task, so these Good Afternoon books are a great way to help your students regain their focus and settle back into their work routine. Having this take place every afternoon will introduce a solid routine for your students and they will know what to expect. ♦ Year Round Editable Newsletters If your classroom is as busy as any other Spec Ed class, then you'll find having time to keep families up to date with all the goings on can be really hard work! This resource contains a Good Afternoon Work Book / Greeting Book that is a great activity to use on a daily basis with your student(s). This book will help students to settle down and get ready to focus for their afternoon work. Many students may struggle with the transition in the afternoons, especially after playtimes, so by providing this work book as anchor in their daily afternoon routine, it will help them to settle quicker. It is individualised so each student can have their own copy. The document comes as a keynote or powerpoint file. You can add on different wording and add pictures of your student etc. but please note you will not be able to add/change/extract any form of clipart/imagery/text from this document. This is to protect our fabulous clip artists and myself as a teacher-seller. This is a harder, newer version of my Good Afternoon greeting book. This one encourages students to be able to write their answers (you can also add text to it for them to overwrite if they are not yet at the level of independent writing) but continue to also choose symbols for the answer. All symbols are also included at the back of the page, you will need to add some of your own, i.e pictures of staff etc A walkthrough is also included to explain how to use the greeting book to it's best potential. This adapted morning work binder is an engaging and hands-on way to start each morning with your autistic students. Using the morning binder each day will help your students get into a routine where they come in, settle down and they are ready to work. Many of our students may struggle with transition in the mornings, so by providing this work book as a consistent routine in their daily morning routine, it will help them to settle quicker and be prepared to work. The books are editable so each student can have their own personalized morning binder. The document comes as a Keynote and PowerPoint file. You can add on different wording and add pictures of your student etc. but please note you will not be able to add/change/extract any form of clipart/imagery/text from this document. This is to protect our fabulous clip artists and myself as a teacher-author. This book comes in 2 levels; Level 1 - Students match images or symbols to each of the pages. Level 2 - Students match images or symbols and words to the pages. They can also use a dry-wipe pen and write their answers to make it harder again. What’s Included? The books include; Front Cover Me and My Name How Do I Feel? My School What Day Is It? What Months Is It? What Season Is It? How’s the Weather? What Should I Wear? Finished Front Cover You can either add your students name using a text box and then print out, or have students write their name once printed. You can also put a white shape square over the image on the front cover and then insert an image of your student if you want their photo on the front cover. What Should I Wear This comes with 4 different options. You only need to print one per book used. 2 boy options, and 2 girl options are included. Students use the clothing pieces included to dress the person appropriately for how the weather is outside. Build Up If you feel there are too many pages to start for your students, use less pages to start. First, just use ‘Me and My Name’ ‘What Day Is It?’ ‘How’s the Weather?’ and 'Finished’ Then, as students progress with this, start adding more of the pages in.
